Can I give zero?! I had emailed with John West Auto for a couple weeks before intending to bring my classic car to him for repairs. "He" via email said "bring it in and John will look at it". So knowing this - you'd expect that "John" would be ready to accept delivery of the mechanically-challenged car. However - it was not running so I needed to get a flatbed to bring to him - he met us in the parking lot and literally hollered at me because the car wasn't running. Interesting I thought...it IS a mechanic shop...and most people bring troubled vehicles to a mechanic shop. hhhmmm So anyway - he barked at the flatbed driver as to where to park (like he's some kind of moron and doesn't know how to park) and then huffed off into the building - hollering at me still that I was scheduled to be there in the morning - however I told him I emailed "him" that I would be delayed until the afternoon and "they" said it was fine. He barked at me that "I am too busy and don't have time to check emails". So needless to say - I did not let my car off the flatbed - called another shop - cost me another $150 - to send it to Smithfield to a reputable man who answered his own phone - took my informatio

As others have said, he is not accepting new customers and probably should have this on his website. "If You Can Dream It, We Can Build It!" But not you, I am afraid.

John West is very knowledgeable, does excellent work at a fair price, and is extremely honest. In my dealings, he has always been polite and friendly. The shop is also nice and well kept. I've not come across a better place to have your vehicle worked on. I wish I met him earlier than I did.

John does an awesome job on anything he works on. He’s been my mechanic for 20 years. Fair price , superior work, honest and yes you can eat off the floors in the shop. If your looking for things done right, John is you’re man

John is a great mechanic and honest! 2021 Silverado was 2k miles out of warranty and leaking oil, dealership told me my rear main seal was leaking and would need a $4k repair. I decided to take the truck to John to get a second opinion and he diagnosed the truck thoroughly and found the repair was far less extensive then what the dealership was selling me on. John got me out the door for under $500. John has been working on my family’s cars for over 30 years and there isn’t any mechanic I trust more.
